I just obtained mine. how do I get that huge chunky metallic piece off the spline to make it look like it does in the 2nd picture. The spline is not exposed. Baffled. Did I buy the wrong product?
A: Take away the castle nut from the threaded part of the shaft. The blade hub adapter ought to slide off the spline with a small persuasion. Then the spline and the threads will be exposed.
